Do you have a voice that wants to be heard? Do you seek change here at the University of South Florida? Do you want to see services and programs that are designed to help YOU succeed inside and outside of the classroom?

The National College Health Assessment is a nationally recognized research survey that collects precise data about students’ health habits, behaviors, and perceptions.


By conducting population-based assessments in order to gather information on the health behaviors of our students as well as their perceptions about related college health topics Wellness Education can plan, develop, implement, and evaluate programs, initiatives, campaigns, and policies that are driven by USF student feedback.


This survey is that it covers a variety of health related topics such as:

  • Alcohol, tobacco and other drug use
  • Sexual health
  • Weight, nutrition, and exercise
  • Mental health
  • Personal safety and violence

Why take this survey anyway?

  • The survey helps to identify the most common health and behavior risks affecting students’ academic performance.
  • Create social norm campaigns comparing students’ actual behaviors to their perceptions about peer behavior.
  • Provide needs assessment data for campus and community task forces on sexual assault, alcohol use, eating disorders, etc.
  • Impact the campus culture by opening a dialogue about health with students and staff.

8,000 students were randomly selected to participate and were sent an email invitation. Those invited have the opportunity to in and Apple Watch or 1 of 10 $50 Amazon Gift Cards. Make sure you check your email because you could be one of the lucky ones.

The deadline to take this survey is April 21.
